Vitamins and minerals increase physical development
The effect of a vitamins and minerals-enriched beverage on parameters of growth was investigated in a study in 268 schoolchildren 6-16 years old selected from 2 classes of each grade (1 to 9). The placebo group received a malt-based drink only and the other group received a vitamins and minerals-enriched beverage. After 14 months of treatment there was a much greater increase in heights in the supplemented group with vitamins and minerals than in the placebo group.
